The dark fantasy series believes in a realistic and unadulterated portrayal of realities of life so most of its episodes are filled with bloodshed and suffering. ‘ Chainsaw Man‘ explores Denji’s life after he becomes the titular individual in possession of immense powers, which quite tragically brings more suffering than happiness in his life. Denji’s devotion and love for Pochita do not go unnoticed, so when he tragically gets killed after being betrayed by a greedy yakuza, he is given another chance at life by Pochita who fuses with his body after forming a contract with him. Although he has every reason to be unhappy, he finds some semblance of normalcy and sanity through his pet, chainsaw devil Pochita.

The dark fantasy anime follows Denji, a really unfortunate teenager who has lived a rough life for years since his father passed away- leaving behind an overwhelming debt for him to pay.
